SPRING 2007: THE REVIEWS
Fringe and Flags - Viktor & Rolf, Comme des Garcons
Two innovative Paris houses did spring shows with strong central motifs, one fringe, the other the Japanese banner.
Fancy Feet
When a pair of ballroom dancers tripped the light fantastic to open the Viktor & Rolf show Monday, the most dazzling feat was that Euvgenia Parakhina managed to be light on her feet wearing a pair of sky-high Swarovski crystal heels.
A Little Ceremony - Junya Watanabe, Rick Owens, Martin Margiela
There were several themes at work in the spring collections, among them boy-meets-girl looks, along with draped and gathered styles that at times took on the look of ceremonial robes.
